Small Town Sound is an independent record label and production company specializing in pop ,country and soul music based in based in Los Angeles, California and Virginia.

Small town sound is led by founder, president, and CEO Robert Sims. Small town sound encompasses Larnell Production, Kingfat entertainment, and Back Road Star Publishing Co.

Rob was born on his grandparents tobacco farm in Virginia. He grew up listening to gospel, soul and blues records that his parents played, as well as country ,blue grass and rock that played on the local radio station.
His grandfather was a blues guitar player. He started playing bass and guitar at the age of 13, playing in numerous jazz and cover bands in Virginia. Upon moving to Los Angeles, he help formed the rock band called “Them Generation.”
which had guitarist Tom Morello from “Rage against the machine.”

Rob Co wrote and produced four songs on the Grammy nominated gold selling Afroman album called “The Good Times” for Universal music group. He has music credit on TV and film. He is an engineer and producer who plays bass,drums,guitar, and keyboard.
